FEAR OF TERRORISM BREEDS ECONOMIC INSTABILITY

Some claim that economy is the big issue in this coming U.S. presidential election in November. Others think its national security. I believe the two issues are intertwined: one cannot be separated from the other.

Economic f actors such as savings and investments, productivity growth, and increased employment are largely influenced by the political climate prevailing in the country, particularly threat from terrorism.

The United States is still recovering from the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York City and in the nation’s Capital in Washington, D.C. Big business is still edgy whether to pour more money to stimulate the weakened economy. Big government has somehow started to stir up the sluggish economy presumably caused by political instabilities around the world mainly in the Middle East

The wealth of the world can still be found in the United States, particularly in New York City. It needs to be utilized to create jobs, put money into the people’s pockets to stimulate the consumer market, and improve the investment climate to generate more production and resuscitate the dwindling housing market. The solution indeed is an assurance to investors and entrepreneurs that America is nationally secured.

The need to win the war in Iraq is of utmost importance. Victory would mean full capitulation of the insurgents and Islamic terrorists. Unless America is willing to do everything to achieve it s mission of victory over the terrorists, its economy will suffer as the value of the dollar plunges.

IS AMERICA READY FOR A MUSLIM PRESIDENT?

There have been many stories written and said about the Islamic religius background of Barck Obama. It is said that when there's smoke, there's fire.

Please read the following account from www.snopes.com and make a judgment if there's really a burning secret in the life of Democratic presidential candidate Barack Hussein Obama.

WHO REALLY IS BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA?

Probable U. S. presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama was born
in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama, Sr., a black MUSLIM
from Nyangoma-Kogel, Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white ATHEIST from
Wichita, Kansas.

Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii . When Obama was two
years old, his parents divorced.

His father returned to Kenya .His mother then married Lolo Soetoro,
a RADICAL Muslim from Indonesia.?

When Obama was 6 years old, the family relocate to Indonesia . Obama
attended a MUSLIM school in Jakarta . He also spent two years in a
Catholic school.

Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. He is
quick to point out that, "He was once a Muslim, but that he also
attended Catholic school."

Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that he is not a
radical.

Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this
influence was temporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned
to Kenya soon after the divorce, and never again had any direct
influence over his son's education.

Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother, Ann Dunham,
introduced his stepson to Islam. Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school
in Jakarta .

Wahabism is the RADICAL teaching that is taught in Madrassas (jihad schools) followed by fanatic Muslim
terrorists, who are now waging Jihad against the western world.

Since it is politically expedient to be a CHRISTIAN when seeking major
public office in the United States, Barack Hussein Obama has joined
the Trinity United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim
background. ALSO, keep in mind that when he was sworn into office he
DID NOT use the Holy Bible, but instead the Koran.

Barack Hussein Obama will NOT recite the Pledge of Allegiance nor
will he show any reverence for our flag. While others place their hands
over their hearts, Obama turns his back to the flag and slouches.
Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential
candidacy.

The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside
out, what better way to start than at the highest level - through the
President of the United States, one of their own!!!!

CORRUPTION BREEDS POVERTY

The sight of Filipinos lining up to get a small bag of rice seems to be so unreal that it can happen in a country where rice production is the main industry. Yet it does and the question is whatever happened to the Filipino farmers?

Remember the Joc Joc Bolante’s Fertilizer Fund Scandal? Government records show that about billions of pesos allocated to buy fertilizers for the Filipino farmers were diverted to mysterious projects pointing to the 2004 presidential campaign fund of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

Where is Joc Joc Bolante, the Arroyo official being charged as the diverter of the Filipino farmers’ money? He is languishing in a U.S. immigration detention cell pending appeal of the denial of his asylum application. I believe it is only a matter of weeks to end Bolante’s saga and the order to ship him back to the Philippines will happen.

If such corruption is happening in the Philippines, New York City is not behind.

Christine Quinn, president of the New York City Council, is under investigation after millions of the people’s money have been misappropriated to mysterious projects. She is even thinking of becoming mayor of New York City.

We’ll know very soon how American justice would take care of corrupt government officials. About Philippine justice, majority of Filipinos think it does not exist.

RISE OF FILIPINO AMERICAN REPUBLICANS

It is confirmed that Republican presidential candidate John McCain will be marching in the Israeli Day Parade on 5th Avenue, Manhattan, on June 1st in response to Sen. Lieberman’s invitation.

The FILIPINO AMERICANS FOR MCCAIN, a Queens-based organization of Filipinos supporting McCain for President, also requested the Republican candidate to join the Philippine Independence Day Parade along Madison Avenue, Manhattan, on June 1st in coordination with the Filipino parade officials. Kishan Kumar Putta, McCain’s overall coordinator of the ASIAN AMERICAN COALITION FOR MCCAIN based in McCain’s Washington, D. C campaign office and Edward Cox, McCain’s New York State Campaign Chairman, promised to work on the request.

It has been a false impression that Filipinos are mostly Democrats. When Len Almaddin-Thornhill of ABS-CBN remarked to me in a recent interview that Filipino-American Republicans have not been visible presumably because there are not too many of them, I said that it may be true to Philippine media but not to mainstream media in the United States.

American media has covered for years the increasing presence of Filipino-American Republicans in pushing for their candidates during presidential and midterm elections. It started during the BUSH-QUAYLE presidential campaign in the mid80s. The following mayoral election in New York City also featured an enthusiastic and visible role of Filipino American Republicans showing their support for Rudy Giuliani.

One reason why Filipino Americans are somewhat more identified with the Democratic Party is their being a minority group like the Hispanics and African-Americans. In reality, Filipino Americans favor the Republican Agenda of lower taxes, individual responsibility rather than welfare, family values rather than a liberal lifestyle, patriotism rather than an anti-American posture, and the importance of national security.

The way the two Democratic contenders for the presidency are bashing each other to the last breath for selfish intentions would usher four more years of Republican control of the White House under John McCain, a true American hero and patriot. Surely in this next Republican administration, the presence of Filipino Americans in the halls of power would be felt.
