MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!

During this Christmas season, let me write about the birth of Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of GOD, who came to this world to save humanity from eternal death because of sin. According to the Holy Bible, Jesus was conceived of the HOLY SPIRIT through a young virgin woman, Mary. Mary was about to be wedded to Joseph, an old man. But Joseph accepted Mary as a wife despite her pregnancy after an Angel from heaven told him of this mystery, the Immaculate Conception of the Savior.

Without the Holy Spirit’s intercession, a person cannot understand the mystery of Chiristianity. If a person is not called or chosen, he or she cannot comprehend God and the Holy Spirit. A person cannot have the Holy Spirit and the Spirit of understanding unless he or she will request the spiritual indwelling. As the church hymn says, Christians are not supposed to ask the reason why about the mystery of Godliness but just “to hold His Hand” in faith.

As the serpent devil induced Adam and Eve to eat the forbidden fruit at the Garden of Eden in order to “be like God” knowing good and evil, so are some people who try to peddle misleading thoughts about the divinity of Jesus Christ. One such work of deception is the reading material called the “Da Vinci Code.” There are also some researchers who tried to reject Christ Resurrection. I said BEWARE of such unscrupulous forces for they are of the devil, the Anti-Christ.

I defy this stupid call to avoid mentioning the name of Christ in our season's greetings for political correctness. So let me greet all of my readers MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR.

BATTLE BELONGS TO THE YOUNG

Gloria Macapagal Arroyo’s die-hard political appointee, de facto DOJ secretary Raul M. Gonzales, seems to be having fun in bullying his fellow seniors who call for his master’s resignation. When the Manila Police used a fire department’s water hose to disable a septuagenarian activist, former Philippine vice president Teofisto Guingona, from marching peacefully towards Malacanang, he clapped his hands in gleeful approval. Just a few days ago, he ordered his henchmen to physically pick up for detention and interrogation an octogenarian, Ret. Gen. Fortunato Abat, who also calls for Gloria’s ouster by announcing his willingness to temporarily take over the government.

Despite the fact that the old man without any semblance of an army merely showed to the press a piece of paper proclaiming himself as president of a transition Philippine government, Raul Gonzales perceived him to be a threat to his master Gloria. He believed so because he said he connected him to Marine Captain Nicanor Faeldon, a former leader of the so-called Oakwood Mutiny, who recently escaped from detention.

In a video recording released to the press, the young military officer denounced Gloria Macapagal Arroyo of “being corrupt and ruthless and will do anything to stay in power.”
He also stated that he escaped to “join the fight for a credible government…” He however denied any involvement with the movement of Ret. Gen. Abat.

Now, who’ll be next in the line of Filipino senior activists for reforms in the government to qualify as a target for “calibrated pre-emptive response” by Raul Gonzales and GMA? Another septuagenarian, Eddie Ramos, I presume. Definitely there is a connection between Ramos and Abat some years ago on a commander-in-chief-defense secretary relationship. This remains to be seen.

Here’s my point: let “Old Soldiers” such as Ramos and Abat and the rest of the seniors including Raul M.Gonzales and Eduardo Ermita enjoy their twilight years not necessarily in their “twilight zone.” LET’S RESPECT THEM FOR THEIR ACCOMPLISHMENTS IF ANY AND FOR THEIR BELIEFS. THE BATTLE FOR THE PHILIPPINES NOW BELONGS TO THE YOUNGER GENERATION AS THE HOPE OF THE NATION IN SEARCH FOR TRUTH AND JUSTICE.

GOD IS NOT DEAD!

If the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the
Philippines (ISAFP) DID INDEED tape the conversations
of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and former Election
commissioner Virgilio Garcillano notoriously known as
“Garci,” they should be proud of it for catching two
individuals conspiring to commit criminal activities.
Since GMA as the acting Philippine president is
commonly called unconstitutionally grabbed
presidential power from Joseph Estrada in 2001 and
also was not duly elected in 2004, ISAFP is not liable
to a security breach. As the FBI caught the late
former MAFIA kingpin John Gotti on tape discussing
murder and other criminal activities with his
gangsters that led to the mobster’s arrest and
conviction, so did ISAFP record on tape Gloria and
Garci discussing vote-rigging, kidnapping, and
bribery.

As always as God wills it, crime does not pay. The
biblical verse that says “there is nothing hidden that
shall not be revealed” is actually a law of Nature and
a law of God. FBI files tell of a murder-rape of a
Filipina nurse by a television repairman in the
Midwest. It remained unsolved for years. Then a
mysterious incident happened: the supposedly
lingering soul of the murdered nurse went into the
being of another Filipina nurse and revealed to her
the identity of her murderer. Just recently a quack
doctor hid the body of a Filipina in his basement and
covered it with cement. New York police almost gave up
the hunt for the killer except for a good lead
provided by a psychic that led to the location of the
dead woman’s body buried in cement.

Emperor Nero in the early centuries burned Rome where
the masses who were mostly Christians lived. Then he
converted the burned areas into his pleasure gardens
and even constructed an artificial lake at the center.
Worse still, he blamed the burning of Rome on the
Christians. He ordered the arrest of Christians to be
thrown into wild beasts for a circus show and to be
burned at stakes as lightings for his magnificent
gardens. The Roman Senate did not approve of Nero’s
excesses and their relations deteriorated. Yet Nero
continued with his insanity. He went to Greece for the
Olympic Games. He claimed he won the chariot race
though he fell off the chariot since nobody dared to
defeat him.

So God punished Nero severely for his sins. He
suffered crisis after crisis such as food shortages,
rebellions of his governors, and military defeats.
When another leader informed the Senate of his
availability to take over the empire, the Senate
immediately condemned Nero to be flogged to death.
Instead of surrendering, Nero killed himself with the
help of his secretary.

Here’s the moral lesson from the story of Nero to
those concerned: GOD IS NOT DEAD.

JUSTICE FOR THE FILIPINO PEOPLE

American President Nixon’s Watergate Scandal is just a molehill if compared to
Gloriagate Scandal in the Philippines which is a mountain. Nixon resigned when he was threatened to be impeached for covering-up an illegal break-in ordered by his campaign staff into his political opponents’ headquarters at Watergate Hotel in Washington, D.C. back in the early 70s. He did it for the sake of dignity and he did win the esteem of the American people.

Gloria refused to resign and chose to stick like a leech to her position as president which is not hers despite the preponderance of evidence and testimonies of her closest aides and cabinet members proving that she cheated in the 2004 presidential elections. What is undeniably evil is that she used the Filipino people’s money earmarked for the farmers and the poor to rig the vote.

There is no need to wait for the people’s outrage and to launch another “people power” revolt. Such will be another symbol of political immaturity.

Gloria Macapagal Arroyo and her criminal gangsters should be fully charged of the crimes they committed against the Filipino people in a court of law as soon as possible to prevent bloodshed. But if such legal move could be completely suppressed by the culprits, then let “fire and brimstone” from above rain on the ungodly sooner rather than later.

Remember, there is no holiday excuse for justice to win.
